Kawartha 2006

Great classes this weekend on Pictures of Redemption. We looked at pictures from Genesis 3, the flood, the Passover, the brazen serpent, the healings of Naaman, demon possessed man, and Legion, and the prodigal's son. One main point that seemed to come out of it was the importance of us being in 'the ark'or the house. In order for Noah and his family to be saved they had to follow God's instructions and stay in the ark, if they weren't in it they would die. During the passover, the Israelites had to follow numerous details among which was staying in the house. If they went out of their house the plague would be upon them. The parable of the prodigal's son after the son returns from his 'prodigal living'. Everyone is in the house accept for the older brother who was too angry to make merry with them. The older brother had been in 'the house' his whole life but was really lost all along and ended up outside the house in the end. Another cool one was in the Parable of the good Samaritan.  The Samaritan left the man at an inn where he said he would 'come again' and repay any other cost the inn keeper spent.  Spent time at the inn to be 'saved'.
Anyway I liked that point.  Here are a few pictures of the weekend

And another year of Camp Kawartha has arrived.

This was from the very first Kawartha 2002. I think the camp has just about doubled in size since then.
May it be a spiritually uplifting and fun weekend of fellowship!
